Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Delhi – The Delhi Government has refused to implement the Central Government’s ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Arvind Kejriwal, Chairman of the Chief Minister and the Delhi Urban Shelter Board (DUSB), has clearly said that we will not implement the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).
The Central government of India has set an ambitious target to construct about 12 lakh affordable housing units under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Delhi in the financial year 2017-18. However, only 1.49 lakh houses were built under the scheme in 2016-17.

The poor living in Delhi will now get the benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The deadlock over it has been removed. Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) will together make houses for the poor. Now people can avail the benefits of PM Awas Yojana Delhi.
