UJALA Yojana Chandigarh– As the population of the country has increased, the use of electricity has also increased so UJALA Scheme has been launched which will help in a cleaner and greener environment and help the consumers to reduce their electricity bills in Chandigarh, Appliances for All (UJALA) in Chandigarh.

The Ujala scheme was launched by BJP MP Kirron Kher. Under this scheme, consumers will be using efficient appliances for a cleaner and greener environment.

Affordable LEDs and Appliances for All (UJALA) were provided to the consumers under this scheme aiming to distribute 30 lakh LED bulbs, 10 lakh LED tube lights and 1 lakh BEE 5-star rated energy efficient fans to consumers.

Under this scheme, the consumers will benefit a lot and their electricity bill will also reduce. This will lead to their savings. Electricity bills through this scheme will be over Rs 175 crore, and annual energy savings will be 45 crore kWh.

This scheme has helped the citizens of Chandigarh to save their electricity bills. This scheme will be also good for the environment. There will be the reduction of carbon dioxide emission and lead to a cleaner and greener environment.

Kirron Kher urged the residents of Chandigarh to use energy efficient appliances and to make this scheme a success and make the city and country energy efficient.

This scheme is being implemented byEnergy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a JV under the administration of Ministry of Power.Consumers in Chandigarh can buy 4 LED bulbs, 4 LED tube lights and 4 BEE 5-star rated energy efficient fans.

This scheme was launched by Prime Minister NarendraModi on January 5, 2015 with a target of replacing 77 crore inefficient bulbs with Energy Efficient LED Bulbs.

Over 21 crore LED bulbs have been distributed in India, leading to an annual energy savings of close to 2,800 crore kWh

This scheme is getting a good response in Chandigarh. People are able to save their money because of the usage of LED bulbs.

This scheme will be also good for the environment.There will be the reduction of carbon dioxide emission and lead to a cleaner and greener environment.
