Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
The Central Government of India has made some changes to its ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Now the people living in mud houses or kuchha houses can avail the benefits of the scheme because some changes has been made in the rules of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
According to these new rules, the villagers will now get benefit from the scheme, due to the changes made in them. Many beneficiaries were ineligible due to verification at 13 points in the past.
The Additional Secretary of Rural Development Department, Mr. Radheshyam Julianiya had previously spoken of giving benefits to the scheme only after verification at 13 points in the video conference. On this, many beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were disqualified.
The district panchayat staff started the investigation of the ineligible. Now after about 51 days, on 11 May, Juliania said in the VC that if the beneficiaries own a mud (kutcha) house, changes will be followed.
Significantly the District Panchayat was given the target of constructing 2028 affordable housing units. The employees, the secretary, and the sarpanch had completed the goal. During the same time, on March 23, 13 points were examined. Due to this 669 beneficiaries were disqualified. Now, after the oral instructions in the VC on May 11, the staff associated with the scheme took the breath of relief.
It is being told that out of the 669 ineligible beneficiaries, about 500 beneficiaries will be eligible. While the district plain staff has expressed happiness, District Panchayat CEO S. Satish said that implementing 13 points is the main goal of giving benefit to the actual poor. The Government intends to provide pucca housing to those living in raw houses.
