Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin): 5354 Houses Approved for Rural Poor

The main aim of PM Awas Yojana is to provide housing to all the poor of country who are unable to construct their own housing. Now they will get their own houses. Government of India has set a target for providing housing for rural poor in Jharkhand .

In order to avail affordable housing for all, the government has approved 5354 houses for rural poor in Jharkhand. In the first phase. Preparation has been started for construction at state level. Especially the poor homeless and who are living in mud houses.

The Rural Development Department of Government of India has set a target of construction of 5354  housing units in Jharkhand under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for the financial year 2017-17.

In this scheme, the Government has included number of gram panchayat from different villages under Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana. Shyama Charan Mukherjee mission selected under the Panchayat, the village of the campaign launched in insurgency-hit areas, selected village in Adarsh Gram Yojana and ODF selected villages under the panchayat and is given high priority.

In this scheme,, about 28 panchayats have been selected. 9 panchayats of Fatehpur Block, 4 panchayats of Jamtara Block, 3 panchayats of Karmatandh, 2 panchayats of Kundhit Block, 9 panchayats from Nala Block and 1 panchayat of Naryanpur have been included in the first phase.
