Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Delhi – The Delhi Government has refused to implement the Central Government’s ambitious scheme Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Arvind Kejriwal, Chairman of the Chief Minister and the Delhi Urban Shelter Board (DUSB), has clearly said that we will not implement the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

Since then, it is believed that this issue is likely to grow further between the Center and Delhi Government. The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) of Central government has an ambitious plan. The central government plans to implement this scheme prominently in Delhi. Under this, those who live in slums should be provided affordable residential flats.

In order to implement this scheme better, some time ago, Lt Governor Anil Baijal convened a meeting of all those agencies. Those who have slums on the ground or those departments are somehow linked to this scheme. At that meeting, he had asked to work on the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) seriously.

All the agencies including Delhi Government, Railways, DDA, Public Works Department, three Municipal Corporations, New Delhi Municipal Council were involved in this meeting. Since then, most of the agencies are busy preparing to implement the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). But the Delhi Government is not considering this scheme in the interest of Delhi.

The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a housing scheme of the Government of India. Through which poor people living in the cities will be given an affordable house. For this, the government has asked 305 towns and towns of 9 states in which these houses will be constructed. The scheme was launched on June 25, 2015. The objective of this scheme is to make the house available to all by 2022. For this, the government will construct 20 lakh houses.
