PM Awas Yojana Uttar Pradesh | Targets Assigned to Build Houses
PM Awas Yojana Uttar Pradesh – The Uttar Pradesh Government has set district-wise targets to the officials under the PM Awas Yojana Uttar Pradesh (Gramin) for the year 2018-19 in order to provide pucca houses for people in rural areas.

The Rural Department’s Principal Secretary Mr. Anurag Shrivastav said that 75 districts have been selected under the scheme. Apart from this, the department has also send the copies of this letter along with a guidebook to all district commissioners, district magistrates and the chief development officers across the state.
Secretary said that the Central Government has selected 11,82,574 beneficiaries in accordance with the priority waiting list (PWL). Out of these, a total number of 2,00,000 housing units will be constructed in the current financial year.
He said that the houses will be sanctioned to the people belonging to the scheduled caste scheduled tribe, and other minority communities of the society. The beneficiaries list was finalized on the basis of resolutions received by the state government from district authorities.
According to the list, Bahraich district has been given a maximum target of 12,257 rural houses, followed by Sitapur with 11,477 houses. Two districts – Gautambudh Nagar. Apart from this, Ghaziabad has not been given any target, while Muzaffarnagar will get only eight houses. Besides this, the state government has given a target of 2,905 houses to Pilibhit.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the government will provide Rs. 1.20 Lakh to each beneficiary. This amount will be directly credited to the bank account of the beneficiary. This amount will be provided to the beneficiaries in three installments i.e. Rs 40,000 in the first and Rs 70,000 and Rs 10,000 in the subsequent installments.
The second and third installment would be provided to the beneficiaries after the completion of construction work in respective stages.
