PM Awas Yojana Uttar Pradesh – Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), the Central Government has approved the construction of more than 1.61 lakh affordable housing units in Uttar Pradesh. Under these houses being constructed on the basis of Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC), the contribution of the Central Government will be Rs. 1.50 Lakh and the state government’s contribution will be Rs. Lakh.

DPR of 1,08,830 residences has been approved by the Central Government in 348 projects for 341 municipal bodies in 69 districts for this component, while currently DPR of 52,773 residences of 127 projects by the State Level Acceptance and Monitoring Committee (SLMC) has been approved. The grounding of total sanctioned 1,61,603 houses is being done. State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) has been made state level nodal agency to provide accommodation to all eligible families and beneficiaries of the urban area under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme (Urban) till 2022.

Currently, participation in affordable housing (AHP), Beneficiary Based Personal Housing Development (BLC) and Credit Link Subsidy Scheme component is being done. About 27.34 lakh applications have been received in these components. It has completed authentication of 17.70 lakh applications received in 454 Municipal Bodies. It contained 5.89 characters and 4.09 ineligible, while the remaining 7.71 applications are being listed. The work of authentication is in the remaining 174 municipalities.
