PM Awas Yojana – The Government has allocated more than 2.17 lakh houses to the urban poor in six states. The number of houses allocated under the housing scheme of the central government has increased to 26 lakhs. This information was given on Monday in an official statement by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

He said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban), more than 1.20 lakh houses have been allocated in Andhra Pradesh. Along with this, 41,173 houses in Uttar Pradesh, 16,700 houses in Assam, 15,222 houses in Gujarat, 14,017 houses in Jharkhand and 9,894 houses in Maharashtra have been allocated.
The Ministry said that the number of total houses allocated under the scheme has increased to 26.13 lakh. The total investment in this will be Rs 1.39 lakh crore, in which the central government has approved the help of Rs 40,597 crore. He said that 82% of the houses allocated so far in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Gujarat, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar have a stake. Andhra Pradesh has the highest share of 20.71 percent. Along with this allocation, all the states and Union Territories except Delhi, Chandigarh, Goa and Lakshadweep have been allotted home.
