PM Awas Yojana – Now the government employee can also get the benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, but the condition is that employees should not have a permanent house. To get the benefit of the second component credit link subsidy (CLSS) of the Prime Minister housing scheme, the government employees can either take loans from HUDCO, back or other lending institutions for the construction of their accommodation or for the renovation of the existing house.

Details of PM Awas Yojana 
Under the PM Awas Yojana, low-income employees will get the benefit only. The income limit has also been set for this.
Employees Divided into Income Groups
  • Lower Income Group (LIG) – Employees whose annual income is Rs 3 Lakh.
  • Middle Income Group (MIG)-1 – Employees whose annual income is Rs 3 Lakh TO 6 Lakh.
  • Middle Income Group (MIG)- 2 – Employees whose annual income is Rs 6 Lakh TO 12 Lakh OR 12 Lakh to 18 Lakh.

Subsidy According to Category

Subsidy under the scheme will be provided on the basis of income category such as –

  • LIG – 6.5% Subsidy
  • MIG-1 – 4% Subsidy
  • MIG-2 – 3% Subsidy

Whatever provision has been made for the government employees under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme, it has been sent to all the Heads of Departments. Also, the list of employees from the departments is requested.
