What is National Horticulture Mission
National Horticulture Mission aims to promote holistic growth of the horticulture sector through an area based regionally differentiated strategies?. It will enhance horticulture production, improve nutritional security and income support to farm households. It aims to develop horticulture to the maximum potential available in the state and to increase production of all horticultural products like fruits, vegetables, flowers, coco, cashew nut, plantation crops, spices, medicinal aromatic plants) in the state.

Features Of This Mission
- It will provide holistic growth of the horticulture sector through an area based regionally differentiated strategies
- Enhancing horticulture production or improve nutritional security and income support to farm households, to establish convergence and synergy among multiple on-going and planned programmes for horticulture development
- NHM is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme in which Government of India contributes 85% and 15% is by the State Governments. All states covered under National Horticulture Mission excluding few states. National Horticulture Mission is a flagship scheme and it covers almost all sections of horticulture development from Nursery level to Marketing level
What are Benefits:
- Centrally sponsored scheme gives funds to states in the form of grants
- Farmers and individuals directly engaged in agriculture can get benefits of this scheme by approaching the relevant state government office
- Give amount to people in the form of either a loan, subsidy or agricultural material
- All farmers get benefits under National Horticulture Mission
- Benefits of various component covered under National Horticulture Mission
Eligibility for Apply:
- People of all the states and Union territories in India are eligible for financial assistance under National Horticulture Mission
- All farmers in the states are eligible for National Horticulture Mission

Promote, develop and disseminate technologies, through a seamless blend of traditional wisdom and modern scientific knowledge
- Create opportunities for employment generation for skilled and unskilled persons, especially unemployed youth

- Contact the Horticulture Officer of concerned district
- Beneficiaries can also contact district level or Taluka level agriculture officer to get benefits comes under National Horticulture Mission
