MEA Ministry to Indroduce Twitter Seva for Capture Citizens Grievances

The Government of India has planned to launch “Twitter Seva” forum where the citizens of our country can share their grievances through various social medias related to the ministries and see that proper actions are taken to solve the problems by the respective departments or divisions.

The success of this will lie on the successful interface being run by the ministry of external affairs where residents, as well as nonresidents, can put forward their complaints and grievances related to visas passports or any other foreign policies.

The Union Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi met RaheelKhursheed who is the head for South Asia and South East Asia to set up a TwitterSeva software which can create a grievance redressal mechanism for the ministry.

In this mechanism some keywords will be identified which will be rendered by various departments. If a citizen has any complaint he/she can tweet related to the password and this will reflect on the central server of the home ministry. The department concerned will take actions for their redressal and then inform the complainant on twitter itself.

Keywords will be chosen carefully so that Twitter Seva is not flooded with irrelevant requests. The problems of the people will be resolved on real time basis. The department concerned will take actions for their redressal and then inform the complainant on twitter itself.

Currently, the home ministry is running 10 twitter handles. Two belongs to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and one each for KirnRijiju and HansrajGangaramAhir.

On the whole, people can send their complaints through various social medias where the related departments will solve their problems and inform the same to the complainants on twitter itself.
