KDA Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi will lay the foundation for the Central Government’s ambitious housing schemes i.e. Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Smart City Mission in Lucknow on July 29, 2018. During this occassion, PM Narendra Modi will also lay the foundation stones of 78,00 affordable residential flats out of the ten thousand flat made by the KDA under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Apart from this, Smart City Mission will start the work of ten schemes. The DPR of these schemes is being prepared.
KDA Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Flats Location
PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stones of 5,040 residential flats in Shatabadi town, 576 residential flats in Ram Ganga enclave, 2208 residential flats in Bhagirathi and 2208 residential flats in Jahnvi. Out of these, work has already been started at two places. 2208 PM Awas Yojana flats are stranded due to the acquisition of land in Sankarapur. KDA (Kanpur Development Authority) Vice-President Soumya Agrawal said that the District Magistrate has to give approval after the meeting.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana
Prime Minister Modi has targeted to give a home to the poor people under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana(PMAY). The house is made available at affordable rates under the scheme. For this scheme, the government had sought applications from such poor homeless people of the state who have no house, those people will be provided with a permanent house.
The Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was launched in the year 2015 with an aim of providing “Housing For All by 2022”. During the launching program, the central government of India had set a target of providing a permanent housing unit to all the poor and homeless people of the nation.
