Bengal Gramin Awas Yojana – The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Bengal Mamta Banerjee announced that the state government will provide affordable homes to about five lakh people in the rural area. She announced that the state government will provide these affordable houses to about five lakh families under Bengal Gramin Awas Yojana.

CM also informed that a new state highway will be built from Midnapore in West Midnapore to Berhampore in Murshidabad through three more districts: Hooghly, Burdwan and Birbhum.

Two districts of Mamta Bardhaman declared East and West Bardhaman as Nirmal Bangla District. She said that 4 lakh 40 thousand toilets have been constructed in these two districts. Also Mamta said that girls of Kanyashree are doing unprecedented work against child marriage. These girls have prevented hundreds of child marriages. During this, Mamata called on the police that she gave courage to the daughters of Kanyashree. Not only that, Mamta said that Multi Super Specialty Hospital has been constructed in Bardan’s Kalna.

The state government has also decided to construct a new road project— North-South Corridor. A total amount of Rs. 3,000 crores will be spent on this project. The government have planned for the construction of more road in the villages.

During the event, CM Mamta Banerjee said that Bengal does not stop. Bengal never tolerates angry glance and threat of anyone. Bengal moves ahead with its head high. She said in her first public program that Bengal is the only place where land was taken away by force in Singur. We have returned the land to its owners. Today golden paddy is harvested there. This is our pride. My government talks less, works more.
